Summary of the role
Working with the Pre-Sales department team, the Graduate Application Engineer will maintain and support the company's demonstration facilities and will be responsible for the preparation and commissioning of both software and hardware for a variety of systems, in order for Pre-Sales to deliver a faultless and effective demonstration. This role offers a career path into pre-sales design team.

Functional Responsibilities
As a Graduate Application Engineer you will be responsible for; Preparation of all client demonstrations, set up and configuration of software and hardware systems ready for client demonstrations, maintenance of all installed systems within demonstration area, changing the physical layout of the scenario space, system testing against documented configuration, troubleshoot/ problem solving issues as they arise (software/ hardware/ network related), assist with client demonstrations, liaise and organise with suppliers/ manufacturers when installing new systems, installation and commissioning of new systems, operation and maintenance of virtual environment for demonstration systems, production of documentation to detail configured/ new scenarios (including hardware schematics, cause and effects matrices, scenario storyboard), manage updates to configurations and documentation through version control, pre-configuration of systems for future use, organise meeting rooms and maintain AV systems and support Pre-Sales when required with design activities.

Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone highly motivated with a capability to self-manage, alongside this you are going to have to be organised and time-efficient, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. You're going to need a core interest in system engineering and problem solving with great client focus and the ability to engage with client and the team in which you will be working with.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications
For this position it would be ideal if you were degree qualified within an appropriate engineering domain (e.g. Electronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or IT) with experience within virtual environments, you will also need to be confident in your communication skills both written and verbal and have good generalist IT skills.
