The council requires an enthusiastic Graduate/Transport Projects Officer to support the delivery of our ambitious traffic & transport programme. You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of traffic and transport related projects through design consultants and our highways service provider, Hounslow Highways. You will have a broad knowledge of the transport infrastructure context in London, the tenets of good highway and public realm design and some of the challenges associated with managing competing demands for road space. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be confident meeting with internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to work on a wide range of projects quickly and efficiently with minimal supervision. Above all you will be self-motivated and interested in joining an innovative team which is committed to developing Hounslow's transport network and achieving our challenging targets to improve safety and facilitate increases in sustainable travel modes.
