We're looking for an Online Database Administrator (DBA) to support and optimise the databases that underpin our online and back-end services (internal and live) to work in our Online Service Delivery team. The Online Database Administrator (DBA) role involves troubleshooting and fixing incidents and problems relating to our online database and back-end services. You'll be the key contact for all database related aspects across several departments, including IT, Digital and Marketing, and you will need to continually work to improve business and technical processes that are dependent on our databases.
With your strong communication skills, you'll be able to effectively explain technical solutions to a non-technical audience. You'll be comfortable working under pressure to meet targets and deadlines. The role requires you to be flexible to work varying hours and occasionally weekends to deliver project work or solve major incidents.
Proven experience in the following is a must:
MS SQL server implementation
development and performance tuning (SQL Server 2005 and 2008)
SQL Server Reporting Services
SQL Server Integration Services
