Sonographer-East Kent, Brighton, Gloucester and Swindon
TTM Healthcare are recruiting Sonographers on behalf of a rapidly expanding organisation ran by a motivated group of NHS consultants in partnership with Community Outpatients.
These positions are located within the Community, housed in Primary care setting in the following areas: East Kent, Brighton, Gloucester and Swindon.
??The post holder will work within the community ultrasound service to provide and maintain a community ultrasound service.
??To work independently with remote supervision from a consultant radiologist
??To undertake a planning, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating the service on a day-to-day basis to contribute to the effective countywide delivery of service and strategic planning in conjunction with the operational and regional manager.
??To report to a high standard, producing images to meet the imaging protocols set out. Maintaining accurate, legal and timely reports. To demonstrate clinical reasoning and patient consent within the documentation. Undertake computerised data collection using our N3 Cloud and Electronic Management System.
??To ensure that reports are completed promptly and sent to the referring clinician.
??To seek a second opinion via N3 connectivity with consultant radiologist where needed and issue a preliminary report if required.
??To keep up to date with clinical and professional developments
Duties and Responsibilities
??To scan patients referred for: General abdominal, includes assessment of the aorta, biliary tract, gallbladder, inferior vena cava, kidneys, liver, pancreas, retroperitoneum and spleen;
??Gynaecology including transabdominal and transvaginal; Renal/bladder/ prostate; Scrotal/ testicular.
??To be able to cope with unpredictable work patterns on a daily basis
??To ensure that the clinic runs efficiently, scanning 12 patients per clinic (4 hour session)
??Pg Diploma in Ultrasound or equivalent
??2 years post-graduate experience (minimum) including Minimum of 900 unsupervised ultrasound examinations and reports.
??If performing MSK or vascular ultrasound then at least 6 months post qualification experience and 50 unsupervised examinations within the last year
??Good working knowledge of the provision of NHS ultrasound services
??Good interpersonal skills ?? effective listening/speaking skills appropriate to the needs of the recipient; communicating complex information
??Approachable ?? demonstrating a friendly and open manner that facilitates communication.
??Enthusiastic positive attitude ?? flexible approach to changing requirements to meet service needs
??Empathetic approach to the personal circumstances of staff and patients. Able to work under the pressures of demanding and competing priorities.
These positions are permanent full- time roles offering attractive Salary Up to £52,000 (plus travel allowance, performance- related bonuses, BUPA) / Sessional wage.
