The unique challenge we offer is a chance to be involved throughout the whole manufacturing life-cycle. You'll be responsible for managing capital expenditure projects from inception to completion, designing, programming and installing control and automation systems, providing continuing support and developing technical solutions to resolve hardware/software issues. This is a great opportunity to develop your design and programming skills across a wide range of complex development areas and manufacturing production systems. We'll also provide management and personal development training and help you with working towards Chartered status.
Your background could be in a multi-disciplinary team in any relevant engineering/manufacturing area, from design companies to utilities and food and drink firms to traditional engineering. You'll need to be qualified to at least HND or, preferably BEng, level, with around five years' Control Engineer experience, ideally including several of the following:
electrical/control/instrumentation system design; Siemens S7300 & Mitsubishi PLCs, HMI systems and SCADA systems; AutoCAD electrical design; PC hardware & data communication (Profibus/Ethernet); and variable speed drives. First-class communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, as is a demonstrable desire to develop your skills and career in a secure yet technically challenging environment where your ambition and drive will bring their own rewards.
